JETTY 3
Jetty3
acrylic on canvas, 92 x 122 cm. coll. Mr. and Mrs. David Mason

In 1788, Australia's first Governor, Arthur Philip, described Pittwater as "a magnificent harbour wherein the entire British fleet, could safely ride at anchor".

Today Pittwater is host to thousands of pleasure craft from humble runabouts to the floating gin palaces of the rich and famous and its jetties which slice into its calm blue waters are a constant source of delight to the artist's eye.
