MY LIFE AS A STATISTIC |
|
acrylic on plywood, 92 x 122cm. |
The ongoing "My Life as a Statistic" series is a commentary on the sometimes dubious ways that politicians, bureaucrats, corporations, and the media tend to categorize society into faceless groups and demographics, the better to manage the individual citizen. |

FUNNY HOW POTENT CHEAP MUSIC CAN BE |
|
acrylic on paper, 66 x 48 cm. |
The paintings on this page are different conceptually as well as stylistically to the rest of my work as I am sure you will notice. For a contemporary artist, not to stay within a single style is considered bad for business, but for me that is not the all important consideration. These paintings are about what I think. The other work is about how I feel in front of a subject. Neither style is about how things actually look. Clear as mud, eh? ha ha.
